Handy Ooshie Stand: 3D-Printable Podium Display for Your Collection

Ooshies are back, and the collection game is real.

This July, Woolworths launched their Disney OOSHIES™ campaign — 40 collectible rubber figurines from across Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. You get one free with every $30 of shopping, or grab a bonus one with select participating brands. There’s even a $10 Collector Case with two exclusive glow-in-the-dark figures and a board game.

The problem? Once you’ve collected them, where do they go?

The Problem: Ooshies Need a Home

Most Ooshie display solutions fall into three categories: oversized shelves (needing 250×250mm+ beds), wall-mounted brackets (permanent commitment), or tower designs (wobbly past four levels). What’s needed is something compact, stable, and genuinely handy.

That’s the Ooshie Podium.

Design Overview

The Ooshie Podium is a single-part print: five stepped platforms per row (179 × 35 × 15 mm), each with its own ⌀7 × 5 mm peg for one Ooshie. Rows chain end-to-end via a dovetail tab-and-socket joint — no glue needed, though a drop of superglue locks it permanent.

The staircase runs tall-to-short left to right, with step 4 kicking back up before the final drop — not a straight ramp:

Why This Beats the Alternatives

  • Large multi-shelf stands — Require beds bigger than most consumer printers. Not practical for P1S, Elegoo Neptune, or Ender owners with standard 230mm beds.
  • Wall-mount versions — Permanent commitment. Drilling into walls for a toy display feels excessive.
  • Tower/carry-stand designs — Cute but structurally fragile once stacked high. They wobble at four levels and become anxiety-inducing above that.
  • Ooshie Podium — Compact (fits any standard bed), stable (single-part, no joints to fail), modular (chain as many rows as you like).
